Well here I am...

I have been reading Chris Millar's BLOG & she had a challenge to put a self portrait of yourself on your BLOG - no glamour photos, just what you look like every day - warts and all & it's not very often that I take photo's of myself I don't think I have ever done a scrapbooking page just about ME, it's easy to scrap your kids but when it comes to yourself it's different so I might even try and scrap this photo.... life has been hectic here so I have been a very slack BLOGGER & don't have lots of interesting stuff to share, we are moving house in about 1 week so I probably won't be able to BLOG until we get the Internet Connected again.

PLAIN OLD EVERYDAY ME!!

I Love this...

photo of my DD and had the perfect opportunity on the weekend to scrap it when I did a doodling class with the beautiful Chrissy (she is a wonderful teacher - thanks sweetie) I am hooked & will be doing a few variations of this layout for my other 2 DD - thanks so much Chrissy I just had to share.

SWIG.....

Well I had the most fantastic time at SWIG (Scrapbooking Weekend Incedible Getaway) and met the most funniest and genuine ladies and don't think I have laughed so hard in a very long time, it was just what I needed and even though I didn't complete 30 layouts (like some ladies did, OMG I think that is the amount of pages I do in a whole YEAR!! LOL) I had fun chatting and looking at other ladies scrapping pages and I did 3 classes (which I wish I had done all of them they were all so good) which I was so pleased with the results & got lots of inspiration... and even though the food wasn't that crash hot **choke, choke, splutter, splutter ** and we had to do our own washing up it didn't matter because the company far outweighed that. It was so good to finally meet all the ladies that I normally chat with online - and talk about funny - Tess & Chris kept me in fits of laughter - at times I thought I was going to pee my pants... I had so much fun & thanks for making me feel so welcome Tess, Chris, Michelle W, Judy, Jackie, Chrissy, Bec, Deb B, Tracey, Mandy, Bev and everyone else I met on the weekend but most of all ** THANKS ** Christine & Beryl for organising such an amazing weekend, I will definately be back... just sharing a photo of ME with TESS & CHRIS.... thanks ladies.... YOU ROCK!!!

FINALLY.....

I got to scrap & it felt so good - seems like I haven't scrapped in ages with the kids being on school holidays & being away, it took me a little while to get going (I think I might have lost my MOJO for a while, I hope it returns soon :( I saw a layout by Louise Spiden over at the Scrapboxx that caught my eye so I used some of the ideas from her layout and am happy with how ths turned out, I just love this photo of my youngest daughter & her friend which I took on the school holiday - they are the two littlest ratbags and this photo is so cheeky I just love it!! Well a new week starts tomorrow so it's back into it, take care whatever you are doing this week.

Catch up soon,

Raechel :o)

ANOTHER YEAR OLDER!!

Well I had a birthday a few days ago but haven't had a chance to BLOG so will do while I have a few minutes... I can't beleive I am 32, man when I was growing up & my parents were in there thirties I thought that was so OLD and look at me now in my thirties - but life goes on & it's really not that bad. I had a lovely day - this is what I received from Steve & the girls:the roses are gorgeous & have the most amazing scent and the candle a beautiful scented one too and well those choccies are LONG GONE!! but my biggest gift is me getting to go away next weekend to SWIG with the ladies from The Scrap Heap & I am so, so, so excited about that, I think I am in need of some good scrapping therapy. I have had a busy week so I'm just going to do some random thoughts stuff, seems to be the easiest thing to do.

* School started back on Monday which means me getting organised again!! I will miss the sleep in's.

* Got to go out for Dinner on my Birthday except hubby forgot to book a table for where I wanted to go & it was all booked out so the place we went wasn't that crash hot, so I got abit dissapointed that he didn't book!! but we went out the next night with some friends and the kids & parents had a great time.

* The girls started back a Gymnastic's this week to, Tahlia sprained her ankle first day back.......... AAGGGHHHHH.....

* Our house that is getting built is only about 3 weeks away & I can't wait until we get to move in & unpack the 20 boxes that have been stored in the garage for the last 6 months.

* Sophie got a note the first week back at Preschool to say that someone in the class has HEAD LICE & please treat your child, I tell you every week there is a note saying to treat your child, I am so sick of applying NIT stuff - anyone got any good remidies (it's so frustrating when you treat your child but obviously other parents aren't treating there child)

* I got some scrapping done this week & now the kids are back at school I might get some more done (will share when I scan them).

Well that's about it for me,

Take Care,

RAECHEL :o)

School Holidays have started....

I love the school holidays, not having to get up & get the kids organised for school, doing hair, making school lunches, ironing uniforms... just being able to sleep in & relax - but by the end of the 2 weeks I am normally ready for school to start again LOL. We started our holiday early as DH had Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday off work so we packed all the camping stuff up and heading off camping for a few days... it was so nice to get away and where we went (on a property) which is normally packed on the Setember holidays was totally people free so we got to choose exactly were we wanted to camp, it was great... the kids swam in the creek endlessly (it was abit chilly for me, but I did brave it and got in a few times), swinging of the tree swing, collecting butterfly shells, building fires and collecting fire wood, riding the four wheeler, toasting marshmallows, playing cards and just doing all the things that you don't normally do when you are at home with all the modern technoligy of computers, tv's, playstations...

but I must admit it was nice to get home and go to a normal toilet (instead of a hole in the ground eeewwwwhhh) and have a shower and wash my hair that smelt like camp fire, now I just have to wash all the smokey clothes and the 15 towels and we are nearly back to normal again. If your on holidays... enjoy the time with your kids and take care on the roads if your travelling... just a few photo's from our camping trip..... TFL..... Raech :o)

Organ Donation

Well it has been a few sad, sad days for me as a little beautiful girl who I have been keeping updated with by her Mum's BLOG finally lost her battle to survive, and didn't receive her Transplant that she so much needed and even though I have never met this family I feel as if I knew little RANI through Mel's diligence to keep us up to date with her progress.

Please give your organs to someone who needs them... it's so easy to do!!!
You can tell you family members, put it on your drivers license or put your name on the National Registry

I know it's not something that we want to think about but it is sooo very important and can SAVE PRECIOUS LIVES so that if something does happen it's known that you want to be a ORGAN DONATOR... so if your not already, talk about it with your children, husband, wife and loved ones... if your not convinced have a read of Mel's BLOG http://www.millar5.blogspot.com/

Lives are precious and lives can be SAVED!!!

" SPRING CLEAN "

Guess what I did today???? Cleaned all day, I hate doing it and even contemplated putting it off and scrapping instead (hehehe) but with all the kids at school I thought I better get into it, it's amazing how much you can achieve without any kids around... I vowed I wasn't going to clean my 8 year olds room but I caved and couldn't stand it anymore, I couldn't beleive the things I found in her room... a whole pile of dirty clothes, about 3 pairs of the other missing sock, treasures (she is a collector) tags from clothes, makeup (like about 15 tubs of LIPGLOSS... how many tubes can a girl have???) and I think I picked up and found about 50 hair-ties and that is no joke, and then all her clothes just shoved into her cupboard AAGGGHHHH, how can kids be such little PIGS??? LOL and I then used about 1/2 bottle of perfume powder that I put on the carpet and vaccumed which gave the room a much needed NICE SMELL and ohhhh how nice the house looks after it's done, if only it stayed that way for longer than 24 hours LOL!! But the dust has been cleared for a few weeks, the ironing pile is a little smaller, the toilets smell good, the washing is done (until tommorrow) the floors are clean the kids rooms are clean and tidy and I definately think I will be doing some scrapping tommorrow...

Until then take care,
Raech :o)

Weekend Away

Well can you beleive it... on the weekend I decided that since hubby would be working all weekend that the kids and I would go and visit a friend (who lives 3 hours away) for a nice relaxing weekend of kids playing and Mum's scrapping... NOT!!! what was I thinking scrapping with 5 kids what a joke, I set myself a challenge of getting 4 pages done and only managed 1 and in between that we had several cuppa's, lots of cake, sorting out kids fights, blowing of snotty noses, taking kids to park and then on Saturday Night I ended up with a stomach ache and at Midnight Tahlia woke with a upset tummy and the spews!!!!!! AWWWW how do we cope???? So we spent most of Sunday recovering and then did the 3 hour trip home which wasn't so bad as the kids slept most of the way, but it was great to catch up with my friend and we are definately on the lookout for a SCRAPPING RETREAT without the kids (as much as we love them it's sometimes impossible to scrap with them especially 5 off them.) But I was happy with the one layout that I managed to achieve.

Chat again soon,
Raech :o)
